The Merc — Return & Refund Policy
We want you to love what you find at The Merc. If something isn't right, here's how we'll work through it together.
In-Store Purchases
All in-store sales are final. We do not offer cash or credit card refunds on in-store purchases.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we are happy to offer a store credit or exchange under the following conditions:
- Item is returned within 14 days of purchase
- Item is unused and in original condition
- Original tags or packaging are intact, where applicable
- Original receipt is presented or matched in our system
Final sale items are not eligible for store credit or exchange. Final sale items will be clearly marked at the time of purchase.
Online Purchases
Returns are accepted under the following conditions:
- Item is returned within 21 days of delivery
- Item is unused and in original condition
- Original tags or packaging are intact, where applicable
Refunds: Approved returns will be refunded to your original payment method within 5-7 business days of receiving the item.
Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping method as we cannot be responsible for lost return packages.
Damaged or Wrong Items: If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 5 days of delivery at hello@shopthemerctx.com and we will resolve it immediately, including a prepaid return label at no cost to you.
Final Sale Items: The following items are final sale and not eligible for return or refund:
- All food and edible items
- Bath, body, and personal care items
- Opened or used candles
- Vendor-made or handmade one-of-a-kind items
Final sale items will be clearly noted on the product page at time of purchase.
How to Start a Return
- Online account: Log into your account at shopthemerctx.com, locate your order, and submit a return request directly. Once approved, you will receive instructions on how to send your item back.
- Email: Contact us at hello@shopthemerctx.com with your order number and reason for return. We will respond within 1-2 business days with next steps.
